Relax and Unwind in a Lavender Patch

On one trip to visit my mother and father-in-law on their farm, we cut lavender. The rain and warmth this summer has encouraged an especially large bumper crop of flowers. Not only does it smell amazing, cutting lavender was a fun, peaceful activity that we could enjoy together as we listened to birds and crickets. We will dry the lavender for about a month and thenb use it for sachets and tea.

Bundled up and ready to get hung upside down

My mother-in-law has discovered a creative hack for hanging lots of bundles. She pokes holes along one side of a paper ream box lid and hooks each bundle up using a paperclip.
