Forest Bathing - Shinrin Yoku

Maybe you have already heard of this simple Japanese practice. Strolling though a path winding through tall trees, surrounded by bird song, dappled rays of sunlight, stones, breezes lofting through the leaves and pine needles. How could this gentle simplicity be healing?

Numerous scientific studies point to the health benefits of

  • Lower blood pressure

  • Improve immune system

  • Lower anxiety, stress, depression

Of course we aren’t going to solve all our problems by just walking through the woods, but it can bring us a sense of renewal, centering, and calm to our busy lives.
