How to Do a City-Beach Road Trip in Three Days

My youngest teen loves all things beachy, and this fueled a recent fall midwestern roadtrip. She loves the city life too, and I love hiking and camping so this trip was a perfect compromise. We toured the busy Chicago streets and also lavished in exploring Lake Michigan’s beach trails. Lake Michigan boarders Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin and is the third largest Great Lake. Indiana Dunes National Park is located on the southern shores of Lake Michigan, and we hiked the dunes and beach trails. Where will your next adventure with your teen take you?
